Bruno was born in and was raised at Westlake Village, a city situated just to the north from Los Angeles. He began playing guitar when he was at the age of 10. 5 years ago, he had been diagnosed as having attention deficit when he was in high school. Sixteen years ago, Bruno was referred to as "AWOL" to leave parties too early. He also utilized this name in fights with rap.

Bruno did not pass the Spanish I class in his second year in high school. It was while he was taking the class again in summer school that Bruno would make friends with his lifelong acquaintance Drew Stewart. Bruno And Stewart immediately became friends when they realized that they shared the same birthdays and enjoyed the same kind of music.

Bruno briefly went to Moorpark Community College but dropped out after only taking two classes. 4 Aaron states that he wanted to attend college in order to satisfy the parents of his, however when he realized that he had to pay the tuition himself for the classes, he decided to skip classes to surf the internet and recording and practice with his band . He before deciding to drop out.
